Rain-X® Windshield Repair Kit helps minimize the appearance and stop the spread of chips and cracks in your windshield. It removes air from the break, fills it with durable resin and makes it even stronger than before. For best results, repairs should be made as soon as possible after the damage occurs and before the break is contaminated by dirt or water. The kit works best on round damage not more than one inch in diameter and cracks not longer than 12 inches. It will not repair damage to more than one layer of glass.

I actually had a dime size white bull's-eye, and approximately 2-inch crack emanating from it on The lower left corner of my Tesla glass rooftop. None of the glass repair people would attempt to do a repair on it, so with nothing to lose, I decided to try this product. Honestly, the bull's-eye section cannot be found now. The crack, is nearly invisible unless you really try to find the right angle. It was the best money I have spent all year.

Didn't completely fix the chip. It's probably fixed enough where water won't be able to get into it and damage it further. Still can tell that there is a chip there but it filled in maybe 80% of the crack.

I had a chip and small crack (about 1/2") right in the line of sight over the steering wheel. Annoying dark blemish….. I purchased this and am please with the results. I'd say at least 90% improvement. I read the instructions twice and then went to work. Applied it in the shade following the instructions to let air out, added more resin, and reapplied pressure. Waited a few more minutes, took the apparatus off, dropped some more resin on and applied the curing strip on it. Moved vehicle into the sun. Waited til dry and then removed the strip, razor bladed the dried resin. Noticed still a little bit of pit. Applied more resin and new strip. Waited til dry again. Razor bladed the resin again.All in all, it filled the pit and small crack and it is barely noticeable. Something I can live with(being directly in my line of sight). Better than hundred dollars for a new windshield or even a a hundred for a pro repair.I didn't expect a 100% non noticeable repair. I am pleased with the final result. A very small hairline crack is all. Perhaps I didn't execute the procedure accurately enough.BIG improvement. I thought I'd give it a try before spending a boatload of money. All chips and cracks are different and may or may not be as successful. Not sure how one could fix a longer crack with a successful result. For the price, it's worth a shot before you pay the big bucks.

I had a chip and crack on my window from a rock. It started to spider so I needed a quick fix. The instructions were easy to follow. Once it's all done you can't even tell it's on the windshield. This is a great temporary fix until I can get the windshield replaced!

I tried this wind shield repair on a small crack from a pebble hitting my windshield and it really didn't do anything to help it as fair as I can see I still see the chip. I probably would not try this again

I got this for a chip I've had on my windshield for awhile, because it seemed like it was getting worse. This directions for this repair kit were so easy to follow, even for a beginner like me! For chips, you use the applicator base and follow the simple instructions. I had to do it after sundown though, because you can't do it in direct sunlight, and I have no shaded areas. It didn't get rid of the chip completely, but it looks so much better and I think it will stop it from getting worse now.

This is a really good product. I used it on my son's windshield on a small rock chip to try to help prevent it from spreading. It was easy to use and came with good directions on how to use it. So far it's helped it from spreading and having to replace the windshield. I would definitely recommend it to other customers and it may help you the way it has us so far.

Works best for non "spider leg" cracks

This made the appearance of my windshield look 85% better than it did. It did not reach the spider leg sections of this crack, however the big gouge where the rock hit was filled in and it looked significantly better. Now I have to get up very close to the window to see the damage, Whereas before you could see it from pretty far away. It did not fill the crack and gouge 100% but I am happy with the results for 20 bucks

As long as the crack is not too deep or that big, it does a pretty good job. It wont make it desappear. Beats paying a windshield repair guy. The crack has to be very well cleaned, and as soon as possible after it happens, to work accurately. It will depend on the size and depth of the crack. Follow the directions as written. I don't think if the crack is too deep or big, this or any other product will work. It is best to be safe and its better to consult a professional if your in doubt of the size or deapth. This wilIt worked on our small nick.

I had a bunch of small chips on my windshield from rocks hitting my vehicle on my daily commute to work. This Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit saved me from having to go through my insurance to have the chips repaired. I forgot to take before/after photos to show you all how well it worked. You can't tell that I had minor chips in my windshield anymore. I'm not sure how it would work on a larger crack or chip, but it works excellent on small ones. It's best to use this soon after the damage occurs before the crack spreads or the chip gets dirty. I highly recommend this product!

Quick fix

This is solid quick fix material to patch a small crack until you can afford to get the entire windshield to be replaced. This is essentially comparable to UV resin. It walks you through the steps to make an easy quick fix. I work with this type of material in art projects, so I don't think that this is a long term fix. But it would be ideal to keep in the car for those surprise chips and cracks that happen on road trips. At the very least this will stop a crack from spreading from vibration quickly which can save time and money in the long run.

This repair kit is easy to use. After curing, it almost completely took care of the chip on my husband's car windshield. Make sure you have the surface cleaned extremely well before starting the process. It may almost be best to do the process in the shade and then move out to the sun with needing UV light to cure. After it is cured, you can scrape the excess off with a razor blade.

This is pretty cool. We got a small chip on the windshield from a car kicking it up on the highway that turned into a small crack for the last two or three years. The product dose say to use it as soon as possible after it happens but we tried it anyway. It was really easy to understand the clear instructions and easy to use the product. The repair device makes it super easy to use and the curing strips are what really make this work. I almost couldn't tell we even had a chip or crack at all, I was worried that's I was going to see the edges of the curing strips but seriously you can't tell at all! I'd definitely recommend this! In the picture the circled red part is where you put the bottle of resin making it really easy to use. The red square is the curing strips.

I was surprised this actually worked but it did. You can see the difference- the picture doesn't do it justice as it was still a little wet and looks cracked still. It was hard to do only because of the spot we had to fix but it took car of off the spider webs and it looks like nothing happened. Ours was only a small quarter/nickel sized area that had yet to spread but I would like to see how it performs on something worse. With it being a 1 shot deal you basically only have 1 opportunity to use it since the pc that attached to the window was trash afterwards and for best results you need to be able to see through the windshield. Ours was down In the dark tinted area and made it a little harder. But it worked

I had 2 small chips that were about 8 months old and 1 very recent chip. 2 of them were bulls eye and 1 was a star. All 3 chips were about the same of a dime or smaller. I don't like taking my car to one of the roadside pop up tents that do this repair since it's paperwork and takes too long. I also don't have full coverage insurance so this would be out of pocket for me. The instructions were easy to read, clearly labeled with good pictures to help guide you. I also watched a video online from a person reviewing this to see it in action before I started. The resin chamber stayed put on my window and the center piece fit great inside the chamber, no issues getting pieces lined up together. It's important to make sure the suction cup is directly over the chip. I think doing the bulls eye was easier then the star chip when I put the resin in. I didn't have too much excess resin to scrap off but the razor blade worked fine to remove what was there. I can still see my chips but it is noticeably better than before and I feel better believing that this will help prevent the crack from getting bigger.

I got a bulls-eye in my windshield and was worried it could turn into a crack. Being the diy'er I am, I decided to give this kit a try. The instructions were straightforward and everything I needed to do the job was included. In less than 30 minutes it was done. The spot is barely noticeable now. I think I may have not put enough drops in initially or it probably would be completely unnoticeable.

The windshield repair kit was very easy to use but it didn't look like the picture on the kit when the repair was finished. I do like the fact that it sealed the chip and prevented it from spreading into cracks but you can still see the chip cluster on the windshield.

The instructions are very clear and easy to understand pretty much foolproof. My dad was supervising and said this kit was a lot better and different than the kids he had to use years ago. The four suction cups gives a greater stability. I had a chip with a couple of split lines coming from it. The lines work completely gone and the chip size reduced. All in all a very quick and easy project that even us ladies can do. This kit can easily save you $150 from fixing small chips versus replacing the entire windshield.

This Rain-X Windshield repair kit really works. I watched a lot of videos of people using this to make sure I did it correctly because our truck windshield had a couple of minor cracks and chips from rocks hitting it on the highway. You must clean the cracks the best you can to make sure dirt and everything is out of it so the resin can go inside. Once the resin gets in where it's supposed to be the windshield looks fixed. You must then cure it. Once properly cured it will keep the cracks from spreading and you can see through it like its pretty much new. If you do it right you will be so happy because instead of spending hundreds of dollars you can spend less than $20! Which is why I wanted to watch so many videos to make sure I did it right. I would definitely recommend this but I also recommend doing lots of research before even trying it and learn how to correctly do it. I would buy this again if I my windshield cracked again.

I was excited to try out this windshield repair kit for cracks and chips on my car. The kit is great and contains everything you need including detailed instructions. I had plenty of cracks and chips to test out this product. Result? Definitely not quick and easy as advertised. I recommend leaving this repair to the professionals who do it all the time like you see advertising in parking lots. The kit is great for someone with a little experience, though. This process works best on fresh cracks and chips. Set includes plenty of curing plastic rectangles. A tip is to cut them in strips if you have a long crack. Although it seems easy enough after reading through the instructions several times, I think there is some technique to applying this successfully to your windshield. The window of your car is pretty important so I'd rather pay a little bit more for a pro to do it for me.

I've tried this stuff 3 times already. Followed the directions exactly. I couldn't get it to work on my small crack. The directions weren't great to begin with and I tried to do as it said but I also ended up watching a video that was more helpful. Hopefully it will work better on others more than it did on mine.

I had a rock chip the size of a thumbnail in the middle of my windshield that was totally distracting. Most auto glass repair shops around LA quoted me at least $80 to fix it and really pushed replacing the windshield entirely. Decided to try the RainX on my own and am quite pleased with the results. What was a total distraction is hardly visible now. It's not a perfect fix, and you shouldn't expect one, because you can still make out where the chip was, but a pretty great result for the price and about 10 minutes of your time.

I had a tiny chip that turned into a spiderweb the size of a quarter, with that turning into a long crack that went halfway across the windshield. The crack is right in my vision and catches the afternoon sun so perfect, that it reflects the sunshine right into my eyes. I was hoping this Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit would help in some manner. I followed the directions and put it on the quarter size chip/spiderweb and waited. It definitely made it look so much better! Next I plan to do the crack that goes across my driver side windshield. I'm hoping it helps keep the sun from reflecting in my eye. I recommend based on the miracle it did on the chip I had.

Before starting, read the full instructions. It makes it much easier when you get outside. The Rain-X repair kit is amazing! There was a small chip mark in the windshield when I bought the car, and now that I'll be selling it in a few more months, having the chip marked fixed will help a lot. Sorry, I forgot to take a before picture, and now I cannot tell where the chip mark was at! I would definitely get the Rain-X repair kit again if needed.

This is the first time trying any windshield repair kit, so if I can do it, anyone can. As you can see from the before photo, I had a good sized, deep rock chip with some splintering. Used several applications and although it isn't completely gone there is a dramatic improvement. I may take another few times of applying the resin to see optimal results. I must say, it's not bad!

Easy to use and works well

Worked pretty darn good less than $12. I noticed a pea sized chip the other day on my way home from work. Upon contacting a well known glass repair company, I was quoted over $140 for them to come to my place and repair my windshield (as opposed to $120 for me to go to them). I saw that youtuber chrisfix made a video with this stuff and he had some pretty good results so I decided to give it a go. I'm very happy with the results! The instructions are clear as day and even have photo illustrations. I took my time with the process and took me about an hour to complete. The first step using the included plunger basically has you create a vacuum for ten minutes. I waited fifteen minutes for this step to ensure no more new air bubbles were being formed (looked at the crack from the inside of the windshield). Once I completed this task I pretty much followed the instructions to the T. Follow the instructions (including the working temperature) and you're good to go as long as you don't have a huge crack that is larger than the applicator which is about 1.5 inches.
